From the very beginning of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of heroes, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, evil spirits, and sinister influences growing in strength within the urban setting.
Note: Key plot points for Episode 3 of this adventure lie ahead.
The Warrior Group Introduced
The latest chapter finished on a dramatic pause and presented the premier party of adventurers who will split off from the main group to begin their separate journey, apart from the remaining groups.
This warrior group consists of Teor Pridesire (brought to life by the voice actor), the agile character (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
Given 13 cast members, it was obvious from the beginning that having everyone at one table would be unworkable.
That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Introduction, connecting the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Warriors, Schemers, and Questers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are rare.
Upon first impression, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might appear mismatched, but the actions of the latest installment demonstrate why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
To begin with, the team knows exactly where to go next after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose death kicked off the narrative’s action—exploited the foes for his personal gain, invading the hidden lair, striking the rogue, and taking all the powerful objects to auction.
Casimir then settled his liabilities and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, north of the urban center, with Cyd pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each character has a individual motive to leave the city the urban setting:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, desires retribution.
- The adventurer is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a dangerous location.
- The strong character and Wicander, having disobeyed his house’s orders to eliminate the target and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their position as important members in the influential clan could assist the party enter places they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, The fighter vowed a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now accompany him wherever.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that control the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind too risky:
- Thimble and Kattigan are known criminals.
- The strong figure and Wicander turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by the clan.
This results in them no alternative but to head to Timmony in search of Casimir.
Future Episodes
From episode three’s Cooldown, we find out that the Soldiers table will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight players to assemble the Questers and Schemers tables.
Fans can expect learning which players will be assigned to which table in the season’s final introductory chapter, released on October 24.
